Hello Out There!

Hello! I thought I'd pop in quickly today, I finally got inky! And when I say finally, I mean this is only the second time in months and months. Today I'm 32 weeks pregnant and boy oh boy...it's been a rough ride this time around! Speaking of boys...

I can't wait to meet our little bundle of joy! Maybe THEN the morning sickness will stop!

I've been so tired this pregnancy that crafting seemed like too much work. I also had to relocate all my stuff (and is there ever a lot of it) to make room for baby, so my craft area was in disarray for months. A few months ago I got a gorgeous big package from Verve though, and I finally got to dip in and play with my new goodies!

I started small with a tag. It's hard to get inky when you're out of practice! The stamps here are from the gorgeous Beautiful Things stamp set, I've also used the matching dies as well as the Dreamy Leaves and Pennant Trim dies

I used a stencil from MFT and some embossing paste as well as lots of distress products on the base of the tag. The ink colours were Abandoned Coral, Festive Berries and Fired Brick with Walnut Stain edges. The seam binding is from Verve.

It feels good to give my poor neglected blog a little love, not to mention my craft supplies. Thanks for letting me share!

Our Family is Growing and a Farewell!

I have some sad news, and some happy news to share today...

We're expecting a bundle of joy in January! It's been a bit of a gap between babies for us, I hope we haven't forgotten everything we learned! We're very excited, but as with my first pregnancy things have been a little rough round here since about week 6! I'm hoping that my morning sickness doesn't last six full months like last time.

So with my new focus on growing a little human, it was time for a VERY tough decision. At the start of the year I had really cut back on design team work to focus on family, and it's time to say goodbye to my last team, Reverse Confetti

This hasn't been an easy decision, just a necessary one. I wanted my last card as part of this AMAZING design team to be happy and bright - I was trying to keep the tears from flowing! I am going to miss Jen and the Confetti Crew so much. I'm leaving for the best reason, but it's still not easy.

Anyway, onto these gorgeous products. I had to dive into my beloved Confetti Cuts of course - I've used the Geometric Background Confetti Cuts, Stamped Note Confetti Cuts and the Leafy Confetti Cuts

The stamp set is the always wonderful Color Me Happy. And I am! I'm so happy and grateful for the time I've spent at Reverse Confetti. I'll still be around on the sidelines, and I'm hoping to feel well enough to still get crafty regularly!

Countdown to Confetti Day One!

The countdown is on to the fabulous June Reverse Confetti release (Seriously. June?! Where is the first half of 2016?! Wasn't it just Christmas?) and you are going to LOVE what's in store this month.

My normal style is a little more layered, but I do love a good CAS card, and these products just screamed BOLD. GRAPHIC. NAUTICAL. *swoon*

I've used the new Sunburst Cover Panel Confetti Cuts, layering it with a Circles 'n Scallops cut Quick Card Panel from the new By The Sea set. The sentiment from the Seaside stamp set was stamped on a Beautiful Banner Confetti Cuts and of course I've used the coordinating Seaside Confetti Cuts also.

I tried adding a few different things to this card, but in the end I had to just let it be. Sometimes simple really is best :-)

Make sure you hop along and visit with the crew today to be in to win a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store. You'll find all the crew linked up on the Reverse Confetti blog.

Cardmaker + Reverse Confetti Blog Hop!

Hello! Today some of the Reverse Confetti Crew are hopping along with CardMaker Magazine -fun!

If you need to start the hop from the beginning, head on over to the CardMaker blog. Make sure to hop along and you'll find out about a prize at the end of the hop on the Reverse Confetti blog!

I got inky with the Butterfly Dreams stamp set and coordinating Butterfly Dreams Confetti Cuts today. To create my background I sponged with Spun Sugar, Festive Berries and Fired Brick distress inks. I splotched on some coral color spray.

I inked the largest butterfly in the set with gold pigment ink and added some kraft ink on the edges for a slightly distressed look. Some matte dots were a nice contrast to all the sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by! It's time to go visit with Laurie now, I know she'll have something amazing to share!
